About the Author

Sara L Smith, CCC-SLP is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, and founder of the Expanding Expression™ company. Her new program draws upon the latest research and provides a multi-sensory approach to facilitate students’ classroom success! As a presenter, Sara Smith provides insight into learning and demonstrates strategies to use with all children. Her manuals/books include Expanding Expression Tool, the Expanding Expression Extension Manual, and E.E.T.C.H.Y.

Sara lives in Michigan with her husband, Kevin, their daughter Addison, and young son Brady.

I believe the EET can be an excellent tool for the elementary teacher to use to aid the student in being compentent in writing a detailed paragraph about one main idea. I have used this in my third grade class. In the beginning, the students would write short, simple sentences. Now, many can write at length on any given topic.
