Professional Development Opportunities

 

  • Professional development (PD) training targets both oral and written expression.  
  • Educators leave knowing how to use the EET for general descriptions, writing from prior knowledge, biographies, and autobiographies.  
  • Student samples and examples for uses in the classroom are shared.  
  • Instruction for introducing the EET in therapy sessions, in whole class language lessons and in your school/district is provided

How you can use this program in your school:

 

  • Daily or weekly in the classroom to facilitate improved oral and written expression across curricular areas.
  • As the focus of a writers’ workshop
  • As classroom language lessons provided by the teacher, speech-language pathologist, literacy coach, content coach, or other building specialist.
  • As a home-program by including parents
  • During speech-language therapy sessions
This program is flexible enough to become a major part of your students’ everyday learning environment. Professional development workshops are provided to meet the needs of your organization or school. The cost is $2000 for a full day session (5 hours). The school/district is also responsible for the travel expenses of the presenter(s). To secure a professional development workshop, please e-mail Sara Smith at sara@expandingexpression.com.
